Every incident is delivered instantly with photo and video evidence, first to the school principal and then to law enforcement.

Most school cameras today only record; footage is usually reviewed after an incident has already happened. The Lenaps Safe School System reverses this: cameras no longer just record, they see, analyze and trigger action within seconds. The goal is to catch situations that threaten students and teachers before they escalate and to reach the right people as quickly as possible.

What Is the Lenaps Safe School System?

The Lenaps Safe School System is a school-specific AI safety solution built on the Lenaps AI Engine V3 computer vision platform. It analyzes live feeds from existing IP cameras in schoolyards, corridors, entrances, cafeterias, gyms and stairwells 24/7. When an anomaly is detected, it automatically captures a snapshot and a short video clip, builds an alert package with incident type, camera, location and time, and sends it through the configured notification chain.

• Fight and violence detection: physical altercations between students are detected through motion analysis.
• Firearm detection: visible firearms at the entrance or on campus trigger the highest-priority alarm.
• Knife and sharp object detection: knives and similar objects are flagged as critical events as soon as they appear.
• Fall detection: students or staff falling on stairs, in corridors or sports areas are detected for fast first aid.
• Smoking detection: smoking in schoolyards and blind spots is detected and reported to the administration.
• Motionless person detection: people who remain motionless for too long (fainting, injury, health issues) are surfaced immediately.
• Fire and smoke detection: flames and smoke in boiler rooms, labs, storage areas and outdoor spaces are detected visually.

1. AI detection: Lenaps AI detects the anomaly with a confidence score within seconds.
2. Evidence package: a snapshot and a short video clip covering before and after the incident are generated automatically.
3. Principal notification: photo, video, camera and location are sent instantly to the principal and authorized staff via mobile push, SMS and email.
4. Law enforcement notification: the incident is forwarded to law enforcement together with photo and video evidence.

No New Cameras Required

The system works with the IP cameras and NVR infrastructure already installed at the school; 2 MP and higher IP cameras are sufficient for analysis.

Privacy-First, On-Premise Architecture

Footage can be processed on the school's own infrastructure without being sent to the cloud. Only incident alerts are delivered to authorized people, and access rights and retention periods can be configured in line with data protection policies.
